This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the Functional Skills learning domain within Mariner Academy for financial services business units.
• Spearhead the strategy, design, delivery, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement of the curriculum.
• Collaborate with leaders from business units and subject matter experts to pinpoint essential functional knowledge, skills, behaviors, judgment, and best practices.
• Convert intricate technical and functional expertise into engaging and practical learning experiences.
• Set uniform functional skill standards and learning objectives while customizing content to meet domain-specific requirements.
• Create and deliver training utilizing adult learning principles, experiential methods, real-world scenarios, practice, and constructive feedback.
• Develop training solutions that are scalable, ensuring a balance between consistency and the specialized knowledge of business units.
• Document and revise functional skills, processes, and best practices as business practices, regulations, and evidence progress.
• Facilitate Functional Skills Capstone courses both in-person and online.
• Collaborate with external trainers and Mariner business units to enhance training initiatives.
• Broaden expertise into additional business-unit domains and expand the curriculum.
• Utilize validated skill metrics to assess and monitor learner performance.
• Partner with Learning Experience Managers on customized development plans.
• Identify and phase out outdated practices, promoting evidence-based methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, education, organizational development, or a related discipline; or an equivalent blend of education and pertinent professional experience.
• Relevant professional certification such as CFP®, CFA®, CPA, ChFC®, CLU®, or a comparable industry credential.
• Experience in training functional skills within at least one financial services sector.
• Proficient in translating complex technical knowledge into impactful training, instruction, coaching, or similar learning experiences for professionals.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and business-unit leaders to define role-specific competencies and performance expectations.
• Background in designing or delivering learning that links technical knowledge to workplace application, professional judgment, and performance.
• Experience facilitating learning for adult professionals in-person, virtually, or through blended formats.
• Extensive functional knowledge and practical experience in at least one financial services discipline.
• Expertise in training and curriculum design.
• Comprehensive understanding and application of adult learning principles and experiential learning techniques.
• Excellent facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual instruction.
• Strong business partnership abilities.
• Systems thinking and the capability to align common functional skills across professions.
• Skills in assessing and measuring learning outcomes using validated standards.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continual improvement.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across units, disciplines, and organizational levels.
• Adaptability to technology and AI-enabled tools.
• Strong professional judgment concerning standardization and regulatory compliance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
