Senior Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform needs assessments and create specific learner personas.

• Outline task workflows and establish measurable educational objectives.

• Develop instructional strategies and evaluations that enhance performance outcomes.

• Directly create interactive online training modules, simulations, and software walkthroughs using Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.

• Review hardware and software updates, release notes, and UI modifications to assess their effects on user workflows.

• Revise learning materials in line with product and UI updates.

• Produce software demonstration videos, animations, and graphics with Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Oversee, prioritize, and sustain training assets across a range of products.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technical SMEs across various global time zones.

• Collect input, verify technical accuracy, and oversee project schedules.

• Implement adult learning principles, performance-based design, modular content architecture, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards.

• Leverage AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Midjourney for scripting, scenario development, media creation, and content refinement.

• Examine learner analytics, assessment results, and feedback to continually enhance learning experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design, managing the complete instructional design lifecycle (ADDIE/SAM) from initial needs analysis to final production.

• Advanced, hands-on technical expertise in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.

• Proven experience in creating custom interactions, variables, conditions, and state changes from the ground up.

• Required portfolio demonstrating interactive technical training, custom Storyline projects, task-based simulations, and clear instructional design rationale.

• Strong understanding of adult learning theories, learner persona creation, and performance support frameworks.

• Experience designing and developing training for software, SaaS, hardware, telecommunications, enterprise technology, or complex technical product environments.

• Demonstrated capability to convert technical UI changes, system updates, and architecture diagrams into engaging, scenario-based learning.

• Verified experience utilizing Generative AI tools in active workflows.

• Advanced skills in video editing and screencast production using Camtasia and Premiere Pro.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional, global teams and managing multi-product training portfolios.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong capabilities in SME interviews and stakeholder management.
