This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Assist in designing and constructing robust, reusable services for the Marketplace platform, including purchase orders, contract terms, invoicing systems, and workflow/status state machines.
• Develop prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs) for new marketplace offerings and validate concepts directly with clients.
• Enhance quality, craftsmanship, user adoption, and usability of already launched products.
• Create and optimize agent harnesses and AI/LLM-integrated workflows utilizing document-extraction tools and models like Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI.
• Leverage internal evaluation tools to assess and enhance delivered solutions.
• Engage in customer discovery discussions and compile insights for product and engineering leaders.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design choices.
• Guide junior engineers as responsibilities expand.
• Recognize and resolve workflow inefficiencies within project parameters.
• Deliver impactful work across platform primitives, new product prototypes, or enhancements to live product adoption.
• Generally, 4–7 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in backend and distributed systems.
• Experience in delivering a technical MVP or prototype from initial concept to a state ready for customer testing.
• Familiarity with building or integrating LLM providers such as Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI, or a strong interest and aptitude for developing this expertise.
• Comfort with working across the technology stack as necessary.
• Exposure to agent harnesses, RAG pipelines, or other AI/LLM-integrated workflows is advantageous.
• A background in data engineering, machine learning, or document processing is a significant plus.
• Experience in financial services, construction, real estate, payments, lending, insurance, or complex B2B environments is a notable differentiator, though not mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate closely with product teams in a non-handoff manner.
• Willingness to travel to the Nashville office at least twice a year if not located in the Nashville area.
