This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Oversee the implementation of Simple and Combined Cycle projects within the Heavy Duty Gas Power sector.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle from the signing of contracts to the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.
• Lead customer interactions, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate and align with customers, partners, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Take ownership of the complete execution of large, complex, non-turnkey, product/equipment-only, and simpler combined cycle projects.
• Collaborate with the ITO Commercial Manager to develop early execution strategies and transition projects into the execution phase.
• Facilitate contract reviews to ensure alignment on requirements, scope, and obligations.
• Manage project execution based on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost criteria.
• Maintain comprehensive P&L accountability for revenue, contribution margin, and cash flow.
• Drive project performance metrics and handle cost, schedule, performance, and risk trade-offs.
• Create and manage risk and opportunity registers along with mitigation strategies.
• Advocate for and implement GE Vernova’s Safety Toolkit across project teams, partners, and subcontractors.
• Support risk-based decision-making by utilizing internal and external insights.
• Cultivate in-depth expertise in project execution and/or a specific technical discipline.
• Analyze business challenges and implement best practices to enhance products, processes, or services.
• Lead teams in formulating solutions within intricate manufacturing, engineering, or production settings.
• Utilize advanced operational, engineering, and product management methodologies across interconnected workstreams.
• Collaborate with partner functions to address cross-functional challenges and execution limitations.
• Provide direct or indirect leadership for complex project teams and resources.
• Assist Functional Project Managers with escalations.
• Present project, business, or technical solutions to senior management.
• Influence without direct authority within a matrix organization to ensure cohesive execution.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 8 years of Project Management experience in Energy, Construction, or large capital project environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Proven experience and understanding of large capital project execution costs and estimates.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (preferred).
• Graduate of the Field Engineer or Project Management Leadership Program (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple phased projects simultaneously and independently.
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to build solid relationships.
• Experience in working with and influencing senior-level leaders.
• Proven strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and business and financial insight.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated presentation skills and capability to convey complex information succinctly.
• Inclusive approach with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities at all levels.
• Proven ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and effectively engage with all organizational levels.
• Experience with applying data and lean tools and technologies for strategic, operational, and project efficiencies.
