Senior Indirect Strategic Sourcing Manager, Enterprise Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Spearhead sourcing efforts across various indirect spend categories

• Formulate category strategies, supplier approaches, multi-year roadmaps, category playbooks, and governance frameworks

• Oversee supplier segmentation, renewal tracking, preferred supplier initiatives, and category governance

• Keep track of market trends, pricing shifts, supplier innovations, risks, and industry changes

• Deliver category intelligence, benchmarking insights, and strategic recommendations

• Convert enterprise business priorities into category-specific sourcing and supplier strategies

• Cultivate trusted partnerships across Finance, Legal, IT, Cybersecurity, Facilities, HR, Marketing, Operations, and other departments

• Engage stakeholders early to shape sourcing decisions and commercial strategies

• Assist in supplier lifecycle management, performance evaluation, renewal planning, and supplier optimization

• Support procurement policies, governance, operating model enhancements, tools, templates, and sourcing frameworks

• Conduct analysis of spend, supplier, contract, and category data

• Create executive-ready presentations, reports, business cases, and recommendations

• Leverage Excel, Power BI, AI-assisted tools, and procurement technologies to enhance business outcomes

• Contribute to the development and scaling of a modern procurement organization and support scalable sourcing capabilities, category management practices, supplier governance, technology-driven processes, and data-informed decision-making

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

• 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Management, or Supply Chain

• Proven track record in leading sourcing initiatives and conducting commercial negotiations

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite

• Skilled in Power BI

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems

• Experience using Zip or comparable procurement workflow platforms

• Knowledge of Jira or similar project management tools

• Capable of independently analyzing data, developing business cases and executive presentations, and translating analytical findings into actionable insights for senior leadership

• Ability to excel in dynamic, high-growth, and changing environments

• Nice to have: experience in developing category strategies, playbooks, supplier segmentation models, and sourcing roadmaps

• Nice to have: experience managing indirect spend in sectors such as insurance, financial services, professional services, technology, or other complex enterprise contexts

• Nice to have: experience in spend and supplier analysis, benchmarking, and business analytics

• Nice to have: experience supporting procurement transformation projects and multi-site, acquisition-driven, or rapidly growing organizations

• Nice to have: knowledge of AI-enabled business tools and analytics platforms
