This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop Off-Air (Bi-Directional Amplifier) and Active DAS solutions tailored for diverse environments.
• Conduct site assessments and gather requirements necessary for system design.
• Utilize iBwave Enterprise design software to produce comprehensive design documentation, including building modeling, DAS equipment placement, cable routing, prediction maps, and compliance reports.
• Execute system optimization within iBwave and assist in resolving performance challenges.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Installers, and other DAS stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and technological advancements in wireless communications.
• Provide technical support and documentation for completed projects.
• Ensure that designs adhere to relevant codes and regulations.
• Interface, collaborate, and engage with MSI Direct Sales and Channel Partners.
• Travel to customer locations as necessary for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of DAS coverage challenges.
• A Level 3 iBwave certification is mandatory.
• At least 4+ years of experience in Cellular and PSS DAS design, or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a similar field.
• Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S. is required.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not offered for this position.
• Proficiency in utilizing iBwave Enterprise design software.
• A solid understanding of RF principles and wireless communication technologies.
• Experience with various types of antennas, amplifiers, and other DAS components.
• DAS design experience for P25 public safety and LMR systems, including 700 MHz, 800 MHz, UHF, and VHF systems.
• In-Building Cellular DAS experience encompassing off-air Part 20 Cellular RF source designs, Direct Connect single carrier, and Multi-carrier (Neutral Host) designs.
• Experience in designing DAS for small, large, and very large venues.
• Familiarity with DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of RF test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, TDR, OTDR, and PIM.
• Experience in the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cables, along with an understanding of cable test result information.
• Must stay current on Bi-directional amplifiers and active DAS technologies and testing equipment.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites to assist in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of DAS coverage challenges.
• Capability to conduct customer-facing design reviews, gather requirements, and provide training.
• Strong technical writing skills are essential.
• Experience with Google Suite is advantageous.
• Networking experience and certifications are preferred.
• Project Management/PMP experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Solid, JMA, ADRF, Avari, Comba, or Nextivity equipment and platforms is beneficial.
