Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services to clients in the electric power sector.

• Conduct technical assessments of electric power generation projects and facilities.

• Assist with project economic and cost analysis, risk evaluations, and contract formulation.

• Perform engineering design reviews and technical due diligence.

• Aid in project development and conceptual design for conventional power initiatives.

• Utilize mechanical design proficiency for conventional power projects.

• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

• Employ data, automation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools where applicable for research, analysis, engineering, design, and workflow enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.

• Strong academic credentials.

• At least 10 years of experience in the electric power sector.

• Proficient in detailed design of mechanical systems for conventional power projects, including simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycle projects, coal-fired generation, steam systems, or reciprocating engines (RICE).

• Experience in development support and conceptual design of conventional power projects.

• Exceptional technical communication and writing abilities.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.; the employer does not provide work sponsorship.

• Experience with technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews is preferred but not mandatory.

• General knowledge of power station operations and performance assessments is advantageous but not essential.

• Basic understanding of process design at electric power generation facilities is a plus but not required.

• Experience in economic, cost analysis, and contract development is beneficial but not necessary.

• Familiarity with international design codes and standards is preferred.

• Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is advantageous but not required.
