Mechanical Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead projects autonomously through both the design and construction stages.

• Create mechanical and plumbing systems specifically for data centers.

• Supervise the development of mechanical designs, systems, and drawings.

• Work collaboratively with MEI personnel, clients, vendors, owners, contractors, and external disciplines.

• Generate drawings and specifications in conjunction with cross-disciplinary design teams.

• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers effectively.

• Choose and schedule key equipment for projects.

• Travel to job sites for on-site evaluations and client meetings as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design, focusing on mechanical systems for data centers or other critical mission projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

• A valid Mechanical P.E. license is preferred.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and mentor junior team members.

• A strong grasp of mechanical systems and energy codes is essential.

• Capacity to think strategically and exhibit flexibility to achieve long-term goals.

• Self-driven, comfortable with uncertainty, and eager to collaborate within a team environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit software.
