Principal Thermal-Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, lead, and expand a high-achieving team of thermo-mechanical engineers throughout Europe

• Establish technical direction, recruit and mentor team members, and drive field execution

• Work closely with sales to spearhead technical discussions, define proof-of-concept evaluations, and provide product demonstrations

• Assist customer engineering teams during evaluations by managing simulation setups, executing complex test cases, and analyzing results

• Take ownership of customer enablement through onboarding, deployment processes, account growth, training, and troubleshooting

• Identify customer challenges and workflow inefficiencies

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate field feedback into product features

• Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events through presentations and demonstrations

• Monitor competitive technologies, industry trends, and market positioning

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Advanced proficiency in commercial simulation software (Ansys, Abaqus, or similar)

• Over 15 years of practical experience in thermo-mechanical simulations

• Extensive knowledge of semiconductor electronics packaging, advanced packaging technologies (e.g., 2.5D/3D IC), or foundry ecosystems

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles

• Hands-on programming experience with Python or C++ for automating workflows or analyzing simulation data

• Demonstrated managerial or technical leadership experience

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge of thermal solutions management and/or Electrical Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SI/PI) workflows is preferred

• Direct experience in commercializing technical software, preferably EDA or CAE simulation tools, is preferred

• Previous experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering (FAE), or strategic technical sales is preferred

• Ability to adopt physics-based workflows and AI-assisted design or simulation tools is preferred
