This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert approved client solutions and requirements into a detailed technical work breakdown encompassing configuration, integrations, data, environments, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Configure OpenLoop’s platform and implementation-specific workflows by adhering to established standards and reusable patterns.
• Implement and validate integrations for clients and third parties utilizing APIs, webhooks, authentication, data mapping, and other supported connectivity methods.
• Conduct data migration, cleanup, transformation, backfill, and reconciliation tasks.
• Employ SQL, APIs, logs, payloads, configuration tools, and AI-assisted scripting or development to perform implementation work and troubleshoot issues.
• Set up event-driven automation and triggering logic throughout the platform.
• Collaborate directly with client technical teams to clarify requirements, exchange specifications, resolve integration challenges, and validate anticipated behavior.
• Develop and execute technical test plans that encompass complete workflows, failure paths, retries, duplicate events, data integrity, permissions, and external dependencies.
• Prepare technical environments, data, and functionality necessary for UAT; address technical defects and furnish evidence to readiness owners.
• Assess whether implemented solutions comply with OpenLoop’s technical definition of done and provide technical sign-off.
• Diagnose implementation and production-stabilization issues by comparing expected outcomes with actual behavior, isolating the failing layer, and establishing reproducible evidence.
• Identify configuration issues, deployment defects, data problems, client integration failures, third-party failures, and genuine gaps in OpenLoop’s products.
• Address implementation-related issues directly and escalate legitimate product defects or capability gaps with clear reproduction steps, evidence, impact, and expected behavior.
• Ensure long-term platform supportability by utilizing standard configuration and integration patterns.
• Recognize when client requests necessitate an approved exception, reusable implementation capability, or support from Product and Engineering.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration records, mappings, integration specifications, deployment notes, test evidence, known limitations, and as-built implementation details.
• Provide the Technical Project Manager with estimates, technical status updates, dependencies, risks, and changes affecting the integrated plan.
• Assist during go-live and stabilization, then transition the implementation into Support and Customer Success.
• Use AI judiciously for configuration, scripting, debugging, test creation, and documentation while validating accuracy and safety.
• Contribute reusable configurations, scripts, test packs, documentation, and implementation patterns.
• Translate operational and clinical requirements or protocols into patient workflows and validate journeys from both patient and operator perspectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Project Manager, who oversees the overall plan and cross-functional implementation process.
• 3–6+ years of experience in implementation engineering, integration engineering, solutions engineering, customer engineering, application engineering, technical consulting, or support engineering.
• Proven experience in personally implementing technical solutions for external customers—not just managing implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, authentication, structured payloads, data mapping, and third-party integrations.
• Experience in configuring complex SaaS platforms or implementation-specific workflows.
• Proficient in executing data migrations, transformations, cleanups, backfills, or reconciliations.
• Ability to use SQL and technical debugging tools to investigate data and application behavior.
• Experience testing complete integrations and workflows across multiple systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing logs, payloads, configuration, test results, and reproducible scenarios.
• Experience collaborating directly with technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation that another engineer can utilize to understand and support the implementation.
• Capability to differentiate between implementation work and product defects, specifying required Product or Engineering support clearly.
• Experience supporting solutions through UAT, go-live, and production stabilization.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology, virtual care, EHRs, pharmacy, labs, clinical workflows, RCM, or provider data.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, event triggers, and low-code workflow/automation tools (e.g., Zoho Flow, Zapier, or similar).
• Experience with DNS, DNS masking, and SMTP.
• Proficient with Postman, cURL, API clients, monitoring tools, and cloud-based development environments.
• Ability to write or modify lightweight scripts using Python, JavaScript, GraphQL, or a similar language.
• Familiarity with environment management, deployment workflows, and configuration versioning.
• Experience creating automated technical or regression tests.
• Experience using AI-assisted development and debugging tools responsibly.
• Experience in a high-growth environment where implementation standards and tooling were still evolving.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently within an ambiguous setting.
• Medical, Dental & Vision.
• Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.
• Generous PTO.
• Remote-work flexibility.
