Senior Implementation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical implementation of customer deployments from preparation and installation to configuration, integration, testing, acceptance, and stabilization during go-live.

• Convert approved solution designs into technical configurations that align with customer needs and Proscia standards.

• Organize technical tasks, manage customer prerequisites and dependencies, and ensure technical milestones are met.

• Set up and deploy customer environments encompassing application, infrastructure, networking, storage, identity, and integration components.

• Implement and troubleshoot integrations within customer infrastructure, networks, storage platforms, identity systems, and upstream/downstream systems.

• Execute and confirm data migrations, imports, and transfers, ensuring completeness and integrity prior to cutover.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues across application, infrastructure, networking, storage, and integration layers.

• Identify technical risks and obstacles, clarify their implications, and facilitate resolutions.

• Ensure technical readiness for customer testing, validation, acceptance, go-live, and transition to Technical Support.

• Create scripts, automate processes, and develop reusable deployment tools utilizing Git, peer review, testing, SDLC, and change-management practices.

• Document deployment issues, product shortcomings, and valuable lessons for Product, Engineering, and implementation teams.

• Provide mentorship to Implementation Engineers.

• Enhance deployment standards, documentation, and operational practices.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, customers, Product, Engineering, and Technical Support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including command-line operations and system troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting and automation technologies.

• Solid understanding of web-based application architectures, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, certificates, firewalls/proxies, identity/SSO, RBAC, and enterprise security principles.

• Practical experience in deploying and supporting applications in AWS and/or Azure, covering compute, storage, identity, databases, and networking.

• Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, NFS, or comparable systems.

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

• Experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes in enterprise or production environments.

• Understanding of enterprise integrations, including REST APIs and file-based interfaces.

• Experience in integrating enterprise applications with identity providers, storage systems, network infrastructure, and upstream/downstream clinical or business systems.

• Capability to troubleshoot distributed systems across application, infrastructure, networking, storage, and integration layers.

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT, technical implementation, solutions engineering, professional services, or similar roles.

• Proven track record of leading complex technical implementations, making sound technical choices, managing risks, and escalating issues as necessary.

• Excellent customer-facing communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to engineers, IT teams, architects, and senior customer stakeholders.

• Ability to connect technical decisions to customer workflows, implementation results, and long-term supportability.

• Experience managing technical responsibilities across multiple customer projects.

• Preferred experience in healthcare or laboratory environments, such as LIS, HL7/FHIR, clinical imaging, scanners, DICOM, or digital pathology workflows.

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible is preferred.

• Ability to take ownership, identify risks early, enhance team practices, and ensure issues are resolved.
