Senior Illustrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design illustrations in a diverse array of styles for various clients

• Operate within predefined illustration frameworks and naturally expand upon them

• Create mood boards and compile references to set the creative direction

• Present and articulate creative concepts and references to clients and teams

• Develop unique, identifiable illustration styles that resonate with client brands

• Construct reusable illustration systems, guidelines, and style manuals

• Document styles to ensure the wider team can utilize and enhance them

• Investigate and assist in the integration of new tools and technologies, including AI

• Transform complex concepts into clear, captivating visuals

• Ensure that all work complies with accessibility standards for web and digital products

• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and project teams

• Contribute to ongoing creative enhancement, innovation, and excellence

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional experience as an illustrator

• Accessible portfolio for review

• Must maintain at least a 3-hour overlap with the Toronto EDT timezone

• Strong foundation in composition, color, and visual storytelling

• Capability to produce illustrations in a wide variety of styles

• Skill in tailoring illustrations to match each client’s brand, audience, and tone

• Proficient in working within and expanding established illustration languages

• Ability to create distinct, ownable illustration styles

• Experience in building and documenting reusable illustration systems and style guides

• Familiarity with emerging tools and technologies, including AI

• Competence in meeting accessibility standards for web and digital products
