Senior IA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage production-quality, reusable AI capabilities and services utilized by various engineering and product teams.

• Construct and enhance LLM gateways, proxies, model routing systems, prompt/context strategies, and agentic workflows.

• Create evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and observability pipelines that assess task success, latency, security, and token costs.

• Establish standards for the implementation of production AI, which includes automated testing, versioning, context segregation, and incident response.

• Take full ownership of delivery from problem framing and architectural design to implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration.

• Develop internal tools, scripts, and intelligent workflows to reduce repetitive manual tasks and enhance developer productivity.

• Design, benchmark, and deploy production-grade AI capabilities and agentic workflows within internal platforms and software ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience, generally 5+ years, in delivering and managing production-grade systems in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or ML Engineering.

• Advanced hands-on expertise in Python, RESTful/async APIs, microservices, and cloud services (AWS or GCP).

• Demonstrated experience in building reliable applications with LLMs, RAG pipelines, agent orchestration (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI), and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Practical experience with LLM proxies/gateways, model routing, evaluation harnesses, and AI observability tools (e.g., LangSmith, Datadog, Logfire).

• Capacity to make informed architectural decisions while balancing quality, latency, reliability, security, privacy, scalability, and cost.

• Proficient in English (mandatory).

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional technical stakeholders.

• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) in cloud settings (nice to have).

• Experience in building, scaling, or contributing to Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or developer tooling (nice to have).

• Background in optimizing prompt engineering, fine-tuning open-source models, or custom vector database indexing (nice to have).
