This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create HVAC system designs.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve a diverse range of HVAC engineering challenges.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop integrated HVAC systems, including commercial and industrial ventilation, control room HVAC, laboratory HVAC, chilled water systems, and heating systems.

• Assist in planning, scheduling, executing, and coordinating detailed design phases of facility engineering projects.

• Conduct design calculations and formulate comprehensive system designs.

• Draft technical specifications for HVAC equipment.

• Undertake engineering studies.

• Provide support to engineers, project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure thorough and timely design completion.

• Aid senior engineers in evaluating existing facilities and suggesting upgrades and replacements.

• Present findings and recommendations to clients and colleagues as required.

• Lead or supervise automation and process improvement initiatives, including engineering calculations, technical document summaries, and design documentation.

• Review outputs from engineers utilizing programming or scripting tools such as Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-accredited program is mandatory.

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in HVAC system design, including ventilation systems, heating systems, and chilled water systems for laboratory and/or industrial facilities.

• Expertise in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.

• Capability to develop design flow diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

• Previous knowledge of relevant HVAC and ventilation codes and standards.

• Familiarity with ASHRAE and current industry codes and standards related to HVAC.

• Willingness or ability to guide others using modern tools, automation, and AI to enhance workflows.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADME, MicroStation, holding a PE license, and ASHRAE Membership are appreciated but not mandatory.

• Additional education or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related disciplines is preferred.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States; the company does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this role.
