This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
β’ Oversee and resolve intricate end-to-end employee exits autonomously across various international jurisdictions.
β’ Provide guidance to clients on procedures related to termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy.
β’ Facilitate consultations regarding workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcome meetings.
β’ Negotiate and influence favorable outcomes in complex terminations involving stakeholders with differing interests.
β’ Collaborate with payroll, legal advisors, governmental entities, trade unions, Customer Success, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other internal stakeholders.
β’ Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documentation.
β’ Maintain employee records in accordance with privacy and confidentiality laws.
β’ Execute offboarding tasks using Remoteβs internal HRIS platform.
β’ Offer first-level Employee Relations support and guidance on intricate workplace issues.
β’ Conduct initial evaluations of workplace concerns and identify relevant regulations and potential courses of action.
β’ Advise clients on progressive discipline, documentation standards, and challenging workplace situations.
β’ Monitor and track employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up actions.
β’ Act as a subject-matter expert and primary point of informal escalation for offboarding and employee relations issues.
β’ Mentor and support junior team members.
β’ Identify and implement process improvements, automation, product development, and enhancements to customer and employee experiences.
β’ Establish methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments while adapting complex techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
β’ Background as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies and experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
β’ Demonstrated experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with compassion, sensitivity, and adherence to legal standards.
β’ Expertise in providing thorough HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
β’ Knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and foundational workplace investigation techniques.
β’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments while analyzing complex HR challenges.
β’ Skill in independently researching issues, translating findings into usable team resources, and offering practical solutions.
β’ Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation abilities.
β’ Proficiency in independently steering challenging conversations toward positive resolutions while upholding professionalism and strict confidentiality.
β’ Business-level (advanced) proficiency in both written and spoken English; additional languages are advantageous.
β’ Talent for process innovation, optimization, automation, and implementing best practices.
β’ High efficiency in operations, meticulous record-keeping, and awareness of data integrity.
β’ Tech-savvy; capable of collaborating asynchronously using various tools and adapting to evolving systems.
β’ Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, international, fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment.
β’ Openness to working flexible hours as required.
β’ Proactive and self-driven, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
β’ Strong skills in automation and AI capabilities, along with fluency in AI technologies.
β’ Higher education qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are considered a plus.
