
Senior Healthcare Data Scientist – Medicare/Medicaid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate Medicare and Medicaid claims data utilizing statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
• Create generative AI-driven solutions and agent-based systems aimed at improving the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse, analyzing intricate patterns, and optimizing business processes.
• Develop predictive models and anomaly detection systems to enhance insights, boost efficiencies, and improve program integrity outcomes.
• Discover opportunities to utilize expansive CMS data with contemporary AI/ML techniques, including LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented pipelines.
• Communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as various levels of leadership.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical discipline, such as Statistics, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Science.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience performing advanced analyses of Medicare and/or Medicaid data.
• Proficiency in R or Python for data science, particularly in machine learning.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, GGplot, or Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and Spark technologies.
• Practical experience with generative AI technologies such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face Transformers, vector databases, agent frameworks, or LLM orchestration tools.
• Understanding of statistical principles and basic analytic model development concepts, including feature engineering, attribute selection, threshold setting, and train/test splits.
• Ability to produce data visualizations that convey complex analyses and highlight trends.
• Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to clarify and simplify intricate data and AI systems.
• US citizenship is not mandatory.
