Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop machine-learning, analytics, NLP, and generative-AI solutions utilizing both structured and unstructured data.

• Enhance workflows that convert documents, free text, and other complex data sources into dependable structured outputs.

• Create workflows for classification, prediction, prioritization, analytics, and decision support.

• Execute data preparation, feature engineering, experimentation, model assessment, error analysis, and validation.

• Examine model and data quality issues, iterating on strategies when outcomes do not meet the desired standards.

• Contribute to production workflows, monitoring, human review processes, and reproducible data science methodologies.

• Collaborate with senior technical personnel, domain experts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Data Science or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in developing data science, machine-learning, or applied-AI solutions.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and data analysis.

• Experience handling unstructured data such as documents, free text, NLP, information extraction, document AI, or LLM-based workflows.

• Capable of independently executing defined projects, assessing results, troubleshooting issues, and clearly communicating findings.

• Awareness of how data quality and extraction errors can impact subsequent models and analytics.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Must have resided in the US for three or more consecutive years.

• Must be able and willing to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

• Experience with production systems, sensitive data, or high-accountability environments is preferred.

• Background in healthcare, life sciences, government, or regulated industries is a plus.
