This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Plan and execute health and safety compliance audits along with advisory activities.
• Conduct audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting tasks.
• Assist locations in comprehending the rationale behind identified opportunities.
• Assess site programs and operations to pinpoint risks, compliance deficiencies, and improvement possibilities.
• Generate clear, concise, and actionable audit findings.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to facility personnel and business leaders.
• Collaborate with site staff to identify root causes and relate findings to actionable steps.
• Contribute to tools and processes designed to enhance audit consistency and methodologies.
• Engage in initiatives that bolster audit effectiveness and stakeholder value.
• Operate independently without direct reports.
• Proven expertise in developing and overseeing health and safety compliance programs, including energy control and machine guarding.
• Practical experience supporting Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs within manufacturing environments.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate EH&S concepts to stakeholders.
• Proficient in utilizing current and emerging technologies to analyze data and provide insights on risk-related themes.
• Demonstrated skill in training, coaching, or empowering others to enhance organizational capability.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, which may include some international travel.
• Should reside near a major airport, preferably located in the Eastern part of the United States.
• Experience and/or training in health and safety compliance auditing.
• Familiarity with safety management systems.
• Possession of compliance certification(s), such as Certified Safety Professional.
• Extensive experience in electrical safety, machine guarding, and high-risk regulatory and industry standards.
• Background in Process Safety Management auditing and program support.
• Experience with EH&S management software and tools, including compliance tracking, incident reporting, or audit management systems.
• Ability to pass a drug test when required.
