Senior Golang Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Go.

• Assist in defining the architecture for a high-load, mission-critical system.

• Work closely with the team to ensure collaborative success.

• Make contributions to strategic technical decisions.

• Maintain code quality through thorough code reviews and clean, testable implementations.

• Collaborate as part of a Scrum team.

• Take part in planning your personal workflow.

• Engage in architectural, infrastructure, and other strategic decision-making processes.

• Review code written by fellow team members.

• Document your own code effectively.

• Create software for the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, a platform designed for launching and managing online sports betting businesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development.

• A minimum of 4 years recent programming experience, primarily using Go.

• Strong knowledge of Go internals, including data structures, multithreading, memory management, and garbage collection.

• Experience with relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.

• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies and Docker.

• Capability to write testable code along with corresponding unit tests.

• Experience working with Kafka and Kubernetes.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in Russian.

• Experience in developing applications within finance or other sectors where data integrity is essential is a plus.

• Understanding of distributed applications and microservice architecture is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, or Hexagonal Architecture is a plus.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse is a plus.
