Senior Golang Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using Go, emphasizing performance, scalability, and resilience.

• Create and enhance RESTful APIs with well-defined contracts and documentation through Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Construct and sustain high-throughput data pipelines that process events from Kafka.

• Engage in architectural decisions and establish best practices for the services ecosystem.

• Implement and improve observability features through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Guarantee the quality, reliability, and security of services in a production environment.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers within an agile, cross-functional team.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the platform and the integration of new technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Significant experience in developing complex backend services in production settings, preferably in Go.

• Proficiency in other compiled, strongly typed programming languages.

• Understanding of building and enhancing RESTful APIs, including aspects like request validation, error handling, and documentation through Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems, particularly with Kafka.

• Familiarity with managing delayed, replayed, or out-of-order events.

• Knowledge of relational and/or time-series databases, covering data modeling, migrations, and query optimization.

• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar solutions.

• Understanding of Docker and containerized environments.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.

• Background in agile product development teams.

• Familiarity with caching layers such as Redis for high-performance applications.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Nice to have: experience with distributed query engines for data lakes, like Trino or Presto.

• Nice to have: experience integrating LLM-based solutions, such as AWS Bedrock.

• Nice to have: a keen interest in participating in architectural discussions and the technical advancement of the platform.
