This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive delivery of immigration and mobility issues, encompassing sponsorship, relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel.
• Direct the company's strategy and execution for intricate U.S. immigration cases in collaboration with outside legal counsel.
• Evaluate options, risks, timelines, and subsequent steps related to immigration matters.
• Provide guidance to candidates, employees, managers, Recruiting, People Business Partners, and business leaders regarding mobility options and their implications.
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Payroll, Total Rewards, and local experts as necessary.
• Oversee immigration counsel, tax advisors, relocation service providers, and other mobility partners.
• Develop and enhance workflows, playbooks, communications, reporting, and self-service tools.
• Ensure accurate tracking of work authorization and mobility data.
• Assist with immigration, right-to-work, and audit-readiness standards.
• Consistently apply sponsorship and mobility policies, highlighting exceptions and escalations with suitable recommendations.
• Support candidates and employees through complex situations with clarity, responsiveness, discretion, and empathy.
• Report directly to the Global Mobility Lead and contribute to the enhancement of mobility processes, infrastructure, and vendor relationships.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in global mobility, including significant experience in an in-house corporate mobility position.
• Extensive, practical understanding of U.S. employment-based immigration.
• Capacity to independently evaluate immigration options, critically assess outside counsel’s advice, and convert legal guidance into business-oriented recommendations.
• Experience providing counsel to employees, managers, and cross-functional partners on mobility-related issues.
• Background in relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel.
• Familiarity with tax, compensation, payroll, benefits, equity, and employment considerations related to cross-border transitions.
• Proven experience managing complex, time-sensitive matters independently and exercising sound judgment with incomplete data.
• Background in managing outside counsel and mobility service providers.
• History of enhancing operations through documentation, automation, AI-supported tools, or reporting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A collaborative, hands-on attitude and comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working outside the United States with local counsel is a plus.
• Experience in building or scaling mobility programs within a high-growth, globally expanding organization is a plus.
