This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide solutions that assist clients in identifying payment integrity challenges, minimizing healthcare process expenses, or enhancing healthcare outcomes.
• Collaborate with Research and Development, Operations, and product management stakeholders to evaluate the value and risks associated with machine learning and AI applications.
• Create exploratory data analysis methods to validate hypotheses pertaining to AI/ML applications.
• Record methodologies, thought processes, and outcomes using standardized approaches for collaboration.
• Prepare final trained models and validation test datasets for quality assurance.
• Partner with production operations to implement models and aid in performance monitoring.
• Work in conjunction with other data science teams and assist with peer projects.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Take part in design sessions to enhance Cotiviti’s machine learning platform.
• Deliver comprehensive value-based solutions, encompassing data pipelines, model development, and end-user applications.
• Fulfill annual performance review and goal-setting responsibilities.
• Undertake special projects and other assigned tasks.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, with a focus on Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Proficiency in natural language processing techniques, including transformers, fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), and measuring/benchmarking and deploying LLMs.
• Familiarity with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, LLAMA/Mistral, OpenAI, and vector databases.
• Over 3 years of practical experience in data science/AI.
• Experience with libraries and frameworks like pandas, scikit-learn, keras, nltk, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and GPU.
• Proven track record in building production-grade machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience handling Apache Spark and large-scale distributed datasets.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Competence in managing confidential information appropriately.
• Skill in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to operate within a matrixed organization.
• High level of proficiency in necessary skills and competencies.
• Willingness to collaborate with global teams and geographically dispersed teams based in the US.
