Senior General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with all general ledger responsibilities, including monthly closures and journal entries for various legal entities.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for multiple legal entities, comparing sub-ledgers/calculated schedules to the general ledger and evaluating ending balances for reasonableness.

• Take the lead on revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations and analyses.

• Carry out variance analyses for financial statements, providing explanations for month-to-month, year-over-year fluctuations, and deviations from planned figures.

• Ensure the accuracy of ledger entries and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts with the general ledger.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend effective solutions.

• Assist in various accounting projects as needed.

• Supervise the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and address any discrepancies.

• Provide training support for junior staff members.

• Analyze and verify the integrity of financial statements.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP.

• Familiarity with and proficiency in an ERP system.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to cultivate relationships at every level.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capability to perform detailed tasks under tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.

• Proven history of problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional skills in identifying, analyzing, and resolving accounting and system-related issues.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
