Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute general accounting tasks and analyses in accordance with GAAP standards.

• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and document bank transactions in the general ledger.

• Create monthly journal entries and thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

• Oversee both internal and external wire transfers.

• Examine, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts during the month-end closing process.

• Support quarterly and year-end audit processes.

• Ensure financial security by adhering to internal controls and company policies.

• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues.

• Document fair value adjustments, interest rate lock entries, and monthly hedging activities for the MLD Division.

• Reconcile revenue and expense accounts related to lending, as well as warehouse line cash and liability accounts.

• Coordinate with Treasury and lending operations to confirm funding, sales, and fees.

• Generate quarterly reports.

• Reconcile title-related revenue, expenses, costs, cash, and pass-through accounts for the Vylla Division.

• Verify title fees, pass-through activities, and received amounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in general accounting or finance is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP accounting software is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

• Capability to communicate effectively.

• Must be available to work during PST zone hours.

• Preference for candidates residing on the West Coast.

• Understanding of US GAAP standards.

• Ability to perform responsibilities in compliance with relevant US state and federal laws and regulations.
