This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
• Develop close schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and financial reporting outputs.
• Create income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and regular financial reporting packages.
• Compile supporting schedules, conduct account analyses, provide variance explanations, and offer consolidation assistance.
• Manage intercompany and consolidation accounting, which includes reconciliations, eliminations, cross-entity entries, and multi-entity consolidation.
• Address intercompany discrepancies.
• Generate foreign currency accounting entries and schedules, including FX translation and remeasurement.
• Assist with statutory and multi-country accounting and reporting needs.
• Prepare entity-level reporting schedules and ensure local reporting aligns with the general ledger.
• Conduct investment accounting, which encompasses investment entries, calculations of realized and unrealized gains/losses, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare schedules for audit, tax, and compliance support.
• Address information requests and provide help with accounting inquiries.
• Review the work of others when applicable.
• Collaborate with the Controller and Finance team to guarantee precise and timely reporting.
• Uphold thorough documentation and promote process improvements within a global framework.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5-7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting, month-end closings, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS is preferred.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Sage Intacct experience is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency, or global environment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting automation or reporting tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to research discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and take ownership of assigned accounting processes.
• Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.
• CPA or equivalent international accounting designation is preferred.
