This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.
β’ Take ownership of generative AI product capabilities from start to finish, encompassing workflow comprehension, prototyping, implementation, rollout, measurement, and enhancement.
β’ Quickly prototype and validate AI solutions, transforming successful methodologies into capabilities ready for production.
β’ Create agentic workflows that analyze campaign, customer, creative, and performance data, utilize tools, generate structured outcomes, and return control to individuals when suitable.
β’ Collaborate with decision-makers and subject matter experts to grasp workflows, limitations, and business contexts while incorporating AI agents into everyday tasks.
β’ Design the access and use of relevant data, tools, and instructions by AI systems to yield grounded results.
β’ Establish dependable production AI workflows that encompass tool usage, state management, failure recovery, and human-review boundaries.
β’ Define testable model/software interfaces that can safely manage uncertain model behavior.
β’ Create evaluation systems utilizing realistic examples, automated checks, and human assessment.
β’ Develop instrumentation for quality, adoption, business impact, latency, costs, and production failure modes.
β’ Implement safeguards for customer data, system access, and high-impact workflows.
β’ Construct Python services and TypeScript/React interfaces for customer-facing products.
β’ Assess and integrate new models and techniques when they enhance quality, capability, speed, or cost.
β’ Mentor engineers and establish common practices for designing, testing, and operating AI-driven products.
β’ A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
β’ A seasoned software engineer with experience in building and operating significant production products, ideally including zero-to-one work across backend services, data, and user interfaces.
β’ Proven experience in launching LLM-powered or AI-assisted products beyond mere demonstrations.
β’ Practical knowledge of reliability, context, tool usage, provider changes, latency, costs, and evolving model behavior.
β’ Highly skilled in Python and comfortable working with TypeScript and React.
β’ Strong foundational knowledge in API design, data modeling, SQL, and testing.
β’ Understanding of data, tools, instructions, permissions, feedback loops, and quality measures related to AI models.
β’ Ability to define success criteria, investigate failures, and enhance AI experiences through testing, feedback, and production signals.
β’ Strong product and engineering judgment regarding traditional software versus LLM-powered methodologies.
β’ Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate with domain experts and non-technical partners.
β’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions with incomplete information.
β’ A lifelong learner with strong yet flexible opinions and a willingness to receive constructive feedback.
β’ Preferred location in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.
β’ Eligible to work remotely from one of the approved US states: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, or WA.
β’ Required to attend in-person team gatherings at least once per quarter.
