This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, revise, and finalize proposals for grants and major donors, letters of inquiry, and renewal requests for both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations.
• Ensure that grant proposals and reports are submitted by set deadlines.
• Collaborate with Finance & Operations to align grant proposal budgets with grant narratives.
• Utilize Airtable to track grant proposals, deadlines, reports, and relevant documentation.
• Develop quarterly fundraising priorities for the Executive Director and modify them as needed based on circumstances.
• Record fundraising goals, commitments, received funds, and funding gaps for both entities.
• Maintain precise and timely fundraising data and tracking systems.
• Assist in creating plans and proposals to address identified funding gaps.
• Keep the program team informed of work and priorities that influence fundraising strategies.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to design and execute the end-of-year campaign.
• Lead and facilitate weekly fundraising meetings.
• Assist the Executive Director in organizing public appearances, funder conferences, PSO events, and inviting funders in-house.
• Prepare briefing materials, talking points, meeting schedules, and materials for funders.
• Create fundraising collateral and other messaging targeted at funders.
• Draft written profiles for prospect research on current and potential funders.
• Set agendas and compile follow-up materials for donor meetings and funder briefings.
• Maintain a conference calendar, track significant fundraising and sector events, and suggest attendance.
• Manage the tracking and acknowledgment process for individual donors.
• Write the annual impact report and other narrative documents aimed at funders.
• Compose thank-you and acknowledgment language and ensure timely gift acknowledgments.
• Provide executive support by preparing materials for meetings and conferences, anticipating necessary information or decisions, and delivering high-level updates.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant fundraising experience, including substantial responsibility for foundation fundraising and grant management.
• Strong commitment to social justice and movement-building efforts.
• Experience in crafting accurate grant proposals, reports, and materials for funders using existing organizational language and program information.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities, particularly for grant proposals, reports, and communications with funders.
• Strong project management skills with the capability to independently manage work from beginning to end.
• Outstanding attention to detail, with comfort in handling fundraising data, budgets, and tracking systems.
• Experience working closely with executive leadership and coordinating input from program, finance, and operations teams.
• Ability to translate complex programs, strategies, and impacts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Airtable or similar fundraising/project management systems is preferred.
• Existing relationships with institutional funders are advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Applicants must reside and have legal permission to work in the United States.
• Generally available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the local U.S. time zone.
