Senior Fund Accountant – Client Onboarding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee critical workstreams related to the onboarding process and historical data migration for new clients.

• Transform and reconcile historical accounting records from previous administrators or systems.

• Conduct and self-audit trial balances, capital accounts, and transaction reconciliations.

• Direct the establishment and verification of fund, entity, and investor details within accounting systems.

• Prepare and perform quality checks on supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial statement tie-outs.

• Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day reconciliation and data-related issues.

• Escalate complex matters to the Supervisor as necessary.

• Offer guidance and on-the-job training to fund accountants.

• Review the work of fund accountants as assigned.

• Maintain and oversee transition checklists to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration.

• Previous experience in transition, conversion, or onboarding is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with private-equity fund structures, allocations, and partner capital accounting.

• Experience with fund accounting systems such as Intacct, Investran, or Allvue is preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple deliverables and prioritize competing tasks.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
