Senior Fund Accountant – Client Onboarding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee essential workstreams related to onboarding and the migration of historical data for new clients

• Transform and reconcile historical accounting data sourced from former administrators or systems

• Conduct and self-assess trial balance, capital account, and transaction reconciliations

• Configure and verify fund, entity, and investor details within accounting systems

• Prepare and ensure the quality of supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial statement reconciliations

• Act as the primary contact for daily reconciliation and data-related issues

• Elevate complex problems to the Supervisor when necessary

• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to fund accountants

• Evaluate the work of fund accountants as assigned

• Maintain and oversee transition checklists, ensuring timely fulfillment of deliverables

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration

• Experience in private equity is preferred

• Prior experience with transitions, conversions, or onboarding is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with private equity fund structures, allocations, and partner capital accounting

• Experience with fund accounting systems such as Intacct, Investran, or Allvue is preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Capability to handle multiple deliverables and competing priorities

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States
