Senior Full Stack Software Engineer – Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Offer daily technical leadership to a full stack engineering team.

• Engage directly in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of production software.

• Direct architecture and design across front-end, back-end, cloud, and infrastructure elements.

• Decompose complex projects into executable technical tasks and assist in estimating effort and dependencies.

• Mentor engineers and facilitate technical conversations.

• Review code and uphold standards for quality, maintainability, scalability, security, observability, and testing.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and transform them into technical solutions.

• Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies and initiate appropriate actions.

• Enhance development practices, tools, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative methods.

• Encourage ownership in deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional software engineering experience, including leading technical projects or mentoring other engineers.

• Strong back-end development experience; production experience with Go is highly desirable.

• Proficient in JavaScript and single-page application frameworks, especially React.

• Proven history of designing and delivering production-grade full stack applications.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and modern application development methodologies.

• Experience in writing clean, maintainable, production-ready code and developing unit, integration, and performance tests.

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services; knowledge of S3, SQS, ECS, EC2, and Lambda is particularly relevant.

• Competence with Git, collaborative software development processes, code reviews, and contemporary engineering practices.

• Capacity to translate business and product needs into practical technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, including guiding the resolution of complex production challenges.

• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: TypeScript, Redux, HTML, CSS, Freemarker, or Thymeleaf.

• Preferred: MongoDB, DocumentDB, or RavenDB.

• Preferred: CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies.

• Preferred: NPM or similar package manager and Cypress or comparable front-end testing tools.

• Preferred: Experience with serverless technologies or microservices architectures.

• Preferred: Bash scripting and familiarity with Java, Groovy, or Python.

• Preferred: Experience in Agile teams and stakeholder coordination.

• Preferred: Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar player-coach role.
