Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Ad Platform Integration: This role is centered around the Meta Marketing API, engaging deeply with campaign and creative objects, insights and expenditures, audience exclusions, duplicate-ad detection, and the policy surfaces that indicate when an ad faces issues. Additionally, they will be responsible for integrating TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube.

• Compliance and Creative Review: The ad operations team utilizes products such as AI-assisted creative verification, monitoring live ads for compliance drift, identifying unsubstantiated claims and unauthorized likeness or music, alongside the human review processes that accompany these tasks.

• Revenue Systems: This includes managing billing rules, referral commission logic based on advertiser expenditures, and reconciling reported figures from platforms with their recorded data. Be aware that spend figures may change retroactively; if you understand the implications for billing, we would like to speak with you.

• Ensuring Safe Shipping: Collaborate with their new deployment pipeline from the application side by implementing a migration system that prevents schema changes from reaching production manually, conducting tests where bugs could incur costs, and making the application stateless to allow for multiple instances in the future. The DevOps engineer manages the infrastructure, while you are accountable for the safety of the code being deployed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and operating production web applications.

• Extensive PHP knowledge in a long-lived, server-rendered application for which you held responsibility.

• Experience in shipping and managing an integration with a major ad platform's API—such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, or Google/YouTube. This includes real-world challenges such as rate limits, token rotation, asynchronous reporting jobs, handling version deprecations, and backfilling data post-outage.

• Ability to discuss the normalization of data across multiple ad platforms, addressing discrepancies in object models, differences in campaign reports from various sources, and determining which figures should be trusted for billing purposes.

• Proficient in vanilla JavaScript and confident in utilizing a modern component framework—this role involves introducing a new framework rather than inheriting an existing one.

• Experience managing a system where a poor change could lead to significant financial losses, along with the ability to discuss concepts like blast radius, rollback procedures, and methods for verifying data changes prior to implementation.

• Self-motivated across different time zones and skilled in clear written communication.
