This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Act as a primary developer for a web project, taking ownership of the entire technology stack.
• Collaborate with the Product team to define, develop, and estimate new features and products.
• Convert business and monetization objectives into technical strategies.
• Articulate technical trade-offs and justify them in business terms.
• Apply best practices in software development, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Define and monitor project health metrics related to performance, stability, and code quality.
• Foster team cohesion and a strong sense of belonging to the project and the company.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent proven experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing robust and scalable frontend and backend applications, as well as APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of Software Engineering design patterns.
• An instinct for product and design, including opinions on interfaces and a keen eye for aesthetics and interaction quality.
• Comprehension of conversion, churn, retention, margin, and the impact of technical decisions on these metrics.
• Proven experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web design patterns and mobile optimization for small screens and touch interactions.
• Experience utilizing AI in development processes, with the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and troubleshoot incorrect AI outputs.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform and relevant backend services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Firestore, and BigQuery.
• Proficient with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases, including Cloud Firestore and MongoDB.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as DataBricks or BigQuery is highly valued.
• Mastery of software development best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
