This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and develop workforce planning, forecasting, scheduling, and optimization capabilities utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and domain-driven design methodologies.
• Create microservices for forecasting, staff calculations, schedule creation, shift management, compliance, exceptions, and operational reporting.
• Build responsive workforce applications using TypeScript and React.
• Design and implement REST APIs following an API-first strategy.
• Establish and uphold OpenAPI/Swagger contracts along with versioning standards.
• Execute event-driven workflows for schedule modifications, agent statuses, queue metrics, forecasts, and adherence events.
• Integrate workforce management capabilities with customer experience platforms, automatic call distributors, routing systems, HR systems, payroll, identity services, and enterprise data platforms.
• Model workforce and operational data within PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Containerize services and contribute to cloud-native deployment methodologies and configuration management.
• Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines, encompassing Jenkins, automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment procedures.
• Diagnose production issues and enhance performance, batch processing, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, architectural meetings, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations Research, QA, DevOps, UX, and other stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience in full-stack software development, including responsibility for production applications.
• Profound understanding of workforce management principles, including forecasting, staffing, scheduling, adherence, intraday management, shrinkage, occupancy, and service level management.
• Experience with intricate business rules engines, optimization logic, scheduling algorithms, or workforce planning processes.
• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, particularly Spring Boot, REST services, security, and persistence.
• Solid frontend development background with Angular or React, TypeScript, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Node.js.
• Experience integrating workforce management with ACD, routing, HR, payroll, CRM, or data warehouse platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience in creating efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and conduct client-facing workshops.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is preferred.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions is a plus.
