Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create and maintain microservices adhering to contemporary distributed-system principles.

• Develop and utilize REST APIs with an API-first methodology.

• Architect and implement event-driven systems and integrations with both external and internal platforms.

• Build frontend applications using TypeScript along with Angular or React.

• Utilize Node.js for backend services, integrations, or supplementary components.

• Design and create efficient data models employing PostgreSQL and relational databases.

• Define and uphold API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Containerize applications and operate within container-based environments.

• Contribute to and manage CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.

• Engage in code reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practices.

• Diagnose and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and other engineering teams.

• Contribute to discussions on technical design, architecture, and implementation decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software development.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring technologies, especially Spring Boot.

• Solid experience in frontend development with Angular or React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Node.js.

• Proven track record in developing REST APIs and backend services.

• Proficient with SQL and relational databases.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience in developing or maintaining cloud-based applications.

• Previous experience in contact center or Customer Experience (CX) environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with Workforce Management (WFM) solutions is preferred.

• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience with contact center platforms, routing solutions, or customer engagement technologies.

• Knowledge of workforce management processes, including forecasting, scheduling, and real-time management.

• Experience in integrating enterprise applications with third-party platforms and APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
