Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Node.js, Svelte, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of intricate frontend and backend features.

• Create scalable and maintainable applications utilizing TypeScript across both client and server environments.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs alongside Node.js server-side applications.

• Construct responsive user interfaces using Svelte/SvelteKit or similar technologies.

• Design and uphold relational database schemas, migrations, and performance-oriented queries.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Engage in architecture discussions, technical design choices, and uphold engineering standards.

• Create automated tests and contribute to code quality and testing strategies.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD workflows and Docker-based environments.

• Deploy and manage production applications using AWS cloud services and serverless architectures.

• Explore technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and product quality.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and engineering workflows.

• Collaborate directly with clients through meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.

• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles within a compact, autonomous team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript, including its advanced language features and complex type definitions.

• Substantial experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js.

• Proficient in developing and utilizing RESTful APIs.

• Strong experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or other comparable frontend frameworks.

• Experience with relational databases and SQL, encompassing schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

• Solid understanding of software testing, code quality, and sustainable development practices.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows.

• Experience with AWS and a background in deploying or supporting cloud-based applications.

• Involvement in architecture and technical design decisions for production applications.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, including direct client engagement.

• Capability to work efficiently and independently within a small, collaborative engineering team.

• Proven practical experience using AI development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

• Ability to articulate the capabilities and limitations of AI tools, including aspects such as accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible usage.
