Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Node.js, Svelte, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of intricate frontend and backend functionalities.

• Create scalable and maintainable applications utilizing TypeScript for both client and server environments.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs alongside Node.js server-side applications.

• Construct modern, responsive user interfaces using Svelte/SvelteKit or similar technologies.

• Design and manage relational database schemas, migrations, and performance-oriented queries.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Engage in architectural discussions, technical design choices, and setting engineering standards.

• Create automated tests and contribute to testing and code quality strategies.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD workflows and Docker-based environments.

• Deploy and manage production applications leveraging AWS cloud services and serverless architectures.

• Investigate and assess technologies, tools, and methodologies.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, and debugging.

• Collaborate directly with clients through meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.

• Take part in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Expert-level skills in TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions.

• Strong background in server-side TypeScript and Node.js, encompassing the development and consumption of RESTful APIs.

• Extensive experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or other similar frontend frameworks.

• Proficient in relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

• Solid understanding of software testing, code quality, and maintainable development practices.

• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, along with experience in deploying or supporting cloud-based applications.

• Experience contributing to architecture and technical design decisions for production applications.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Ability to work efficiently and independently within a small, collaborative engineering team.

• Proven experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Capability to articulate the strengths and limitations of AI tools, including aspects like accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible usage.
