Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Node.js, Svelte, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of intricate features across both frontend and backend systems.

• Create scalable and maintainable applications utilizing TypeScript for both client and server environments.

• Develop and implement RESTful APIs and server-side applications leveraging Node.js and contemporary TypeScript frameworks.

• Construct modern, responsive user interfaces utilizing Svelte/SvelteKit or similar technologies.

• Design and manage relational database schemas, migrations, and queries with an emphasis on performance and data integrity.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical solutions.

• Engage in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and establish engineering standards and best practices.

• Create automated tests and contribute to strategies for code quality and testing.

• Build and sustain CI/CD workflows and employ Docker for consistent local and development environments.

• Utilize AWS cloud services and serverless architectures to deploy and manage production applications.

• Investigate and assess technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance engineering productivity and product quality.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and other engineering workflows.

• Work directly with clients through regular meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.

• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles within a small, self-sufficient engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions.

• Extensive experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Proficient with a modern frontend framework such as Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or similar.

• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

• Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, and sustainable development practices.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, with experience in deploying or supporting cloud-based applications.

• Experience contributing to architectural and technical design decisions for production applications.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Capacity to work effectively and independently within a small, collaborative engineering team.

• Proven practical experience using AI development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Ability to clearly communicate the current capabilities and limitations of AI tools in software engineering, including considerations related to accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible use.
