Senior Full-Stack Engineer, .NET, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop features from start to finish – utilizing C# APIs and Azure Functions on the backend, as well as Angular and TypeScript on the frontend – and take ownership from the design phase through to production.

• Enhance and maintain the financial calculation engines that serve as the core of the platform.

• Create new user interfaces connected to the API, while helping to establish scalable frontend patterns.

• Extend and troubleshoot the event-driven Azure architecture, including Service Bus, queue workers, blob storage, App Configuration, and Key Vault.

• Model and query data in MongoDB, and ensure that work is directed to the appropriate layer when a query or calculation-heavy path becomes slow.

• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, particularly for calculated outputs.

• Prioritize performance and reliability as key features, and swiftly identify any slowdowns.

• Monitor Azure alerts, logs, and traces utilizing Application Insights; diagnose defects that have escaped detection across the stack, and enhance both code and tests.

• Employ AI tools like Claude Code on a daily basis to explore unfamiliar code, scaffold features, generate tests, and improve team efficiency.

• Review pull requests, collaborate on testable design, and share best practices within the team.

• Clarify requirements with business analysts and question any ambiguous specifications.

• Act as a second-level support resource for internal user inquiries and issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong skills in C# and .NET, with the ability to work within an existing codebase – read, comprehend the patterns, and enhance it rather than simply overriding it.

• Solid experience with a modern Single Page Application (SPA) framework and TypeScript (Angular preferred; with the ability to transition from React/Vue), alongside proficiency in HTML/CSS and a utility-first approach such as Tailwind.

• Demonstrated experience in building and consuming RESTful web services in the cloud (Azure preferred).

• Proficient across the stack – while you may have a primary area of expertise, you should be able to trace a problem from the UI through the API into calculations or queries.

• Comfort in reasoning about correctness: identifying where a bug could have been detected, and how to validate numerical outputs (including tolerances, expected values, and regression of calculated results) rather than merely checking for HTTP 200 responses.

• Working knowledge of relational and/or document databases – including schema design, query writing, and recognizing when a query is a performance bottleneck.

• Excellent communication skills in a distributed team environment – strong written English, with the ability to advocate for a design during reviews, pose challenging questions during grooming, and explain trade-offs to business stakeholders who may lack engineering backgrounds.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience.
