Senior Full-Stack Engineer – NestJS, React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance a new greenfield digital platform within a large enterprise setting.

• Assume responsibility for the complete technical delivery process.

• Design and create scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

• Construct robust backend services and scalable APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Design and optimize relational databases, focusing on data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.

• Implement caching, session management, and performance enhancements utilizing Redis.

• Create mobile applications or integrations using React Native and Expo.

• Collaborate with teams utilizing Kotlin and Spring Boot to ensure alignment in architecture, infrastructure, and technical methodologies.

• Deploy and manage cloud-based services using AWS ECS and associated AWS infrastructure.

• Implement authentication and authorization solutions with Auth0 or similar identity platforms.

• Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing across backend and mobile applications.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical direction, continuous improvement, and pragmatic engineering choices.

• Effectively collaborate with distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Full-Stack Engineer.

• Demonstrated ability to independently drive technical decisions, architecture discussions, and software delivery.

• Strong backend development expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Proven production experience in building scalable APIs and backend services.

• Experience in designing and optimizing relational databases using PostgreSQL, including data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.

• Practical experience with Redis for caching strategies, session management, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose.

• Hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud-based services using AWS ECS and relevant AWS infrastructure services.

• Strong grasp of software architecture principles, design patterns, clean coding practices, and maintainable system design.

• Experience in developing mobile applications or integrations using React Native and Expo SDK.

• Experience in implementing authentication and authorization solutions using Auth0 or similar enterprise identity platforms.

• Strong knowledge of automated testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for both backend and mobile applications.

• Professional proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed teams.
