Senior Full Stack Engineer, Mobile & Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop features comprehensively, from React Native interfaces to Spring Boot services.

• Oversee the development of mobile and web clients.

• Initiate new market launches while minimizing the manual efforts for future launches.

• Address regulatory, payout, and localization needs for each country.

• Create tools to enhance the efficiency of market launches.

• Work on balances, ledgers, transfers, and reconciliation processes.

• Design integrations with payout partners, KYC vendors, card issuers, and internal systems.

• Enhance automated testing, alerting, wallet recovery, and KYC workflows.

• Deploy, monitor, and manage the systems developed.

• Engage in on-call duties and conduct root-cause analyses.

• Instrument products released and analyze user drop-off during cash-to-balance conversion.

• Collaborate with product teams and shape product-related decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and delivering production software.

• Proficient in React and React Native.

• Experience in launching and maintaining a production mobile application.

• Proficiency in TypeScript.

• Capability to develop interfaces suitable for low-end devices and unreliable connections.

• Strong backend engineering skills in Java and Spring Boot, or equivalent experience with a willingness to learn quickly.

• Competence in RESTful API design.

• Experience with relational data modeling.

• Knowledge of distributed-systems failure modes.

• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

• Comfort in working with legacy systems and undertaking incremental refactoring.

• Genuine interest in the product and its users.

• Ability to work independently within a small, fast-paced team.

• Must have the right to work in Germany or Portugal.

• Availability to collaborate with teams on the US East Coast, which is five to six hours behind.

• Nice to have: experience in payments or fintech at scale, including ledgering, reconciliation, KYC/AML, PCI, and chargebacks.

• Nice to have: familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, blockchain payment systems, wallet and custody infrastructure, and smart contracts.

• Nice to have: experience with native iOS or Android development alongside React Native.
