Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain PHP/Laravel backend services within event-sourced financial architectures.

• Emphasize data consistency, security, and high performance.

• Work collaboratively with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to create new sites and improve existing websites and software.

• Develop, implement, and support features using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Write automated unit, functional, and end-to-end tests for feature development and bug resolution.

• Offer code suggestions and design enhancements to boost application usability, scalability, and performance.

• Promote the adoption of suggested improvements.

• Share expertise with, support, and mentor the current web engineering team.

• Grasp the technical specifics of owned features and their interactions with other systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the software engineering field.

• Advanced proficiency with PHP MVC frameworks, particularly Laravel.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, including asynchronous, queue-driven processing (e.g., Laravel Jobs/Queues or similar).

• Knowledge of event-sourcing architecture and relevant libraries.

• Proficient in modern front-end technologies, such as Vue 3, Nuxt, TypeScript, and Tailwind.

• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and design.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design patterns.

• Advanced experience with both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL and MongoDB.

• Experience in building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Familiarity with integrating payment processing APIs, such as Stripe.

• Proficient with JavaScript build tools, such as Vite.

• Ability to create, support, and enhance front-end component libraries.

• Experience in mentorship roles.
