Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for the data warehouse and critical business data flows.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to convert complex requirements into technological solutions.

• Own the complete data transformation processes for reporting and analytics purposes.

• Evaluate and enhance database and system designs, focusing on optimization and reducing technical debt.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design feedback sessions.

• Advise the Scrum Master and/or Application Lead by identifying risks and proposing effective solutions.

• Direct modifications, testing, and deployment of program and user interface changes.

• Develop and uphold documentation standards for data structures and user interfaces.

• Define and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Assess, recommend, and implement new UI and platform technologies.

• Establish and manage quality assurance processes.

• Balance backend data organization with frontend accessibility and scalability.

• Maintain and enforce data standards, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act.

• Drive initiatives for process improvement and implement standardized procedures.

• Research, plan, organize, lead, and execute new processes or technology projects.

• Manage access controls, permissions, and privilege management.

• Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.

• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures operate effectively at scale.

• Lead capacity planning for infrastructure requirements.

• Collaborate with project managers and Tableau Developers.

• Oversee the database security posture and disaster recovery strategies.

• Triage, prioritize, and resolve complex issues related to websites and applications, including bugs and production incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering is preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in front-end and back-end development, as well as data warehousing, demonstrating advancement into a senior or technical lead role.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (including Redshift), PostgreSQL, and Python.

• Proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to architectural decisions within agile delivery frameworks—Scrum, SAFe, Extreme Programming.

• Strong background in source-code management and CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for guiding others through complex technical challenges.

• Exceptional communication, teamwork, negotiation, and mentorship skills.

• Demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines under pressure while juggling multiple priorities.

• In-depth knowledge of creating reporting solutions using data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Qlik, Quicksight).

• A history of staying updated with emerging technologies and assessing their applicability for the organization.

• Strong understanding of fundamental user interface design principles for websites and applications.

• Proven ability to test, debug, and assist others in troubleshooting website and application user interfaces.

• More than 7 years of experience with SQL and relational database engineering (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata), including schema design and performance optimization.

• Significant experience in cloud engineering on AWS, including designing for scalability and resilience.

• Advanced proficiency in developing with scripting languages such as Python and PostgreSQL.

• Competency across various web programming languages including HTML, C#, CSS, Python, C++, and JavaScript.

• Advanced skills in AWS CLI, PowerShell, and/or Unix shell scripting.

• Over 7 years of experience utilizing and maintaining ETL tools—such as Glue, Alteryx, or other related ETL (extract, transform, load) tools.

• Strong front-end expertise along with familiarity in AWS Amplify, CloudFront, React, Vue, Node, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, HTTP, REST APIs, Git, Docker, CloudFormation, YAML, CodeCommit, authentication/authorization practices, and jQuery.

• Prior experience in mentoring engineers or leading small technical projects is highly preferred.
