Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Engage in the development of high-scale backend pipelines and data-intensive systems.

• Create production-level ingestion and processing frameworks.

• Make architectural choices informed by actual data volumes.

• Ensure reliable operation within Kubernetes/AWS infrastructures.

• Occasionally perform frontend tasks, including minor UI adjustments and the creation of new pages.

• Design and develop backend systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js (experience in production environments is essential).

• Familiarity with NestJS is highly preferred, as it is utilized as the primary backend framework.

• Extensive experience in designing backend systems that operate at scale, with a focus on autoscaling, high availability, performance, resilience, and failure modes.

• In-depth understanding of event-driven architectures, including Kafka-based ingestion/streaming, producers/consumers, pipelines, and batching concepts.

• Advanced skills in PostgreSQL and SQL, including schema modeling and query optimization.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of Redis.

• Experience in AWS and Kubernetes environments, with a focus on production familiarity.

• Practical experience using logs, metrics, and tracing to monitor and troubleshoot production systems.
