This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Develop features from initial requirements through to production, encompassing UI, API, data modeling, and deployment.
• Design and enhance the API layer, which includes data contracts, error handling, authentication, authorization, API versioning, and typed interfaces.
• Create Postgres schemas, write and optimize queries, manage migrations, and enhance indexing, normalization, and performance.
• Construct readiness dashboards, competency visualizations, adaptive learning paths, assessment processes, and administrative tools.
• Set and uphold standards for application architecture, state management, testing, observability, and code reviews.
• Enhance backend latency and throughput, database query efficiency, browser rendering performance, bundle size, and load behavior.
• Deploy using GitOps and CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD-driven Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with product, design, platform, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor engineers as the team expands.
• Over 7 years of experience in building and operating production web applications, including senior or lead roles on complex, long-term codebases.
• Genuine full-stack expertise spanning UI, API/service development, and databases.
• Proficient in Node.js and Express, covering routing, middleware, service layering, authentication, authorization, API versioning, error handling, and testing.
• Extensive knowledge of modern Angular, including standalone components, signals or RxJS-based state, dependency injection, routing, lazy loading, and performance optimization.
• Experience with production PostgreSQL, focusing on schema design, migrations, query optimization, execution plans, transactions, and indexing.
• Familiarity with deploying containerized applications to Kubernetes, including configuration, secrets, health checks, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with GitOps and CI/CD using ArgoCD or Flux, along with Helm and/or Kustomize, and pipeline automation.
• Strong architectural judgment across service boundaries, data modeling, state management, build tooling, and dependencies.
• Competence in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Adaptability to a continuous delivery culture and commitment to operational excellence.
• Self-motivated and action-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US citizen authorized to work in the United States.
• React experience is highly preferred.
• Additional experience with AWS/GovCloud, Terraform, observability stacks, event-driven processing, design systems, learning/LMS platforms, SCORM/xAPI, SSO/SAML/OIDC, RBAC, regulated environments, and AI coding tools is a plus.
