Senior Full-Stack Engineer – AI Cost Visibility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of features from understanding customer challenges to design, implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.

• Establish success criteria while ensuring reliability, user experience, and measurable outcomes.

• Suggest product initiatives based on customer requirements and business objectives.

• Comprehend AI expenditures, including token and model pricing, inference and GPU economics, as well as usage distribution among teams and projects.

• Leverage AI daily for tasks such as exploring codebases and vendor APIs, prototyping, generating and reviewing code, debugging, writing tests, and creating documentation.

• Develop and scale backend services using Go.

• Create product experiences with TypeScript and React.

• Transform cost and usage data into clear, efficient, and reliable interfaces.

• Construct API-first capabilities accessible by both humans and agents.

• Conduct thorough design reviews and establish engineering guidelines.

• Provide mentorship to peers and disseminate knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with multi-tenant SaaS products, demonstrating a proven ability to oversee features or products from inception to production.

• Proficient in Go for backend services, APIs, data processing, and the operational aspects of managing them.

• Strong skills in TypeScript and modern React.

• Capability to manage a feature from the data model to the user interface.

• Experience in building on public cloud platforms; GCP preferred but AWS or Azure are also acceptable.

• Working proficiency in SQL, especially with analytical databases like BigQuery.

• A product-oriented mindset.

• Familiarity with AI tools within the engineering workflow.

• In-depth understanding of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.

• Ability to guide and set direction for others.

• Comfort with ambiguity in a rapidly evolving market.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Self-organized, goal-driven, self-motivated, confident, meticulous, and persistent.

• A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is considered a bonus, but not mandatory.
