Senior Full-Stack Developer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and sustain high-quality software solutions.

• Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code in Python utilizing the Django framework.

• Enhance the front end using Angular, with a potential future transition to ReactJS.

• Contribute to the development and customization of the content management system (CMS) using the Wagtail framework.

• Leverage AWS services to support the architecture and implementation of features for an established cloud-based application.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust task-processing and/or messaging systems.

• Integrate and optimize PostgreSQL databases within applications.

• Utilize modern code-quality tools and engage in code reviews.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other engineers to grasp business requirements and their implementation.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices, especially those related to Artificial Intelligence.

• Consume vendor APIs and create APIs for the platform, adhering to REST API and microservices methodologies.

• Interpret incomplete requirements, clarify inquiries, and consolidate requirements.

• Suggest innovative solutions while considering the broader context of product features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Advanced or fluent English proficiency is required, as you will be collaborating with a team in Canada.

• A minimum of five to six years of hands-on experience in software development.

• Proficiency in Python and Django; experience with Flask is also acceptable.

• Strong front-end development capabilities, preferably in Angular. Knowledge of ReactJS is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Wagtail or another CMS framework is beneficial.

• Understanding of SQL, data modeling, and database best practices.

• Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred, but substantial hands-on experience with other contemporary relational database management systems will be considered.

• Experience in consuming third-party APIs and developing APIs following best practices, including OpenAPI and Swagger.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deployment strategies.

• Experience with messaging or stream-processing platforms, such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.

• Extensive hands-on experience with modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

• Experience in deployment using Jenkins or a similar CI/CD orchestration tool, along with managing code and branches with Git.

• Experience utilizing AI plugins and tools for code development.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
