Senior Full-Stack Developer – Node.js, PHP, Vue.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain modern, high-performance, and secure web applications.

• Develop and utilize REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring scalability and compliance with industry best practices.

• Engage across the entire stack, from backend to frontend, with a strong emphasis on code quality.

• Assist in making technical architecture decisions and facilitating system integrations.

• Perform code reviews, automated testing, and implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

• Contribute to practices involving componentization, clean code, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance solutions continuously.

• Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced developers.

• Make independent technical decisions and advocate for best practices.

• Stay informed about emerging trends in software development.

• Implement AI safely, efficiently, and effectively throughout the development lifecycle, adhering to company standards.

• Primarily focus on backend work with Node.js and PHP, complemented by frontend development using React/Next.js for about 30% of the project scope.

• Collaborate with AWS and GCP while partnering with a higher education institution in the healthcare sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in Node.js and PHP 8+.

• Familiarity with TypeScript and React with Next.js.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL.

• Solid understanding of MySQL/MariaDB and MongoDB.

• Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.

• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.

• Understanding of using AI to enhance development, including Codex and/or Claude.

• Proficiency in Jest/Vitest for unit testing and Playwright/Cypress for end-to-end testing.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, ESLint + Prettier, and Husky + lint-staged.

• Knowledge of Axios or the Fetch API for REST and GraphQL API communication.

• Practical experience with JWT authentication, refresh tokens, rate limiting, Helmet, CSP, and input sanitization.

• Senior-level, proactive, and self-motivated profile, with direct communication skills and a strong focus on delivering results.

• A mindset oriented towards performance, security, and scalability.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Flutter.

• Preferred: Familiarity with reusable componentization, custom hooks/composables, and Server Components (Next.js 14+).

• Preferred: Previous experience in educational institutions.

• Preferred: Experience with headless CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
