This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable, reliable, and adaptable applications utilizing TypeScript with NodeJS and Angular 9+

• Design, implement, and/or utilize RESTful web services

• Create modern and responsive user interfaces for web applications across various devices

• Collaborate in agile software development, including prototyping, testing, and code reviews within a small team of developers

• Produce robust unit and end-to-end tests

• Partner with full-stack developers, cloud engineers, and subject matter experts to design and create the NCATS Notebooks Hub, a cloud-native solution for data analysis and exploration

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field (work experience may be considered in place of a degree)

• Over 3 years of experience in TypeScript/JavaScript

• More than 3 years of experience as a full-stack developer

• Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks and open-source application and dashboard projects (e.g., Shiny, Streamlit, Solara, etc.)

• Proficient in Node.js

• Experience with Angular 19+

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

• Experience with containers and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

• Familiar with version control systems such as Git

• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks

• Familiarity with utilizing GenAI technologies (e.g., CursorAI, Cline, Windsurf)

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both clear and concise

• Technical writing proficiency

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Attention to detail in creating visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces
