Senior Full Stack Developer – AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive features utilizing Java for backend development and React for frontend interfaces.

• Create the integration layer with external scheduling APIs, incorporating mechanisms for failure handling, retries, and maintaining consistency.

• Design conversational orchestration, defining the moments when the LLM classifies, extracts, and provides responses.

• Model and enhance data persistence across both relational and non-relational databases.

• Engage with messaging and asynchronous processing for tasks that occur outside the main conversation flow.

• Write automated tests and actively engage in code review processes.

• Participate in architectural discussions, providing sound technical insights.

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues occurring in production environments.

• Thoughtfully incorporate AI into your development workflow and rigorously evaluate its outputs.

• Share knowledge and provide support to team members who are newly onboarded.

• Create a conversational AI platform for healthcare that assists patients via WhatsApp, managing appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling, while integrating with clinic scheduling systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong software development experience, demonstrating a history of delivering production-grade systems.

• Proficiency in Java for backend development and React for frontend development, with the ability to work independently in both domains.

• Experience with Docker and containerization, along with familiarity in Azure deployments.

• Expertise in relational databases, including skills in modeling, querying, and optimization.

• Understanding of non-relational databases, with a clear insight into when they are appropriate to use.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools, including daily use of Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.

• In-depth knowledge of applied AI, including LLM application engineering, prompt design, structured output, RAG, guardrails, and quality assessment.

• Experience in consuming and integrating third-party APIs.

• Ability to independently resolve obstacles and awareness of when to seek assistance.

• Dedication to quality while avoiding perfectionism that could hinder timely delivery.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a small team.

• A genuine interest in applying AI technologies to product development.
