This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Develop and deploy frontend functionalities for Vue-based embeddable widgets and client-facing components, Angular-based merchant administration tools, and React-based Shopify integrations.
• Design, create, and execute software solutions in collaboration with product management, design, and backend engineering teams.
• Produce clean, thoroughly tested, and maintainable TypeScript code.
• Decompose complex challenges into manageable tasks, estimate, plan, and deliver on them.
• Take ownership of features from inception to completion: design, development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Engage in system architecture discussions and enhance frontend architecture as the platform expands.
• Mentor fellow engineers, conduct code reviews, and elevate the technical standards.
• Work together with backend engineers to design efficient APIs and data flows.
• Create, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and provide project updates.
• Assess and incorporate technical solutions into the current system.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in building production-level frontend applications.
• Strong practical expertise in at least one of Vue, Angular, or React, with the ability to quickly adapt to the other two.
• Extensive knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Proven history of delivering high-quality, tested, and maintainable frontend code in a collaborative environment.
• Comfortable working across a complete serverless stack, including APIs, event-driven services, and cloud infrastructure.
• Capable of collaborating asynchronously with a fully distributed global team.
• Able to work independently, make informed technical decisions with appropriate guidance, and recognize when to seek assistance.
• Nice to have: Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, and SQS/SNS.
• Nice to have: Experience creating embeddable widgets or SDKs for third-party websites.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Nice to have: Previous experience in e-commerce, martech, or the Shopify ecosystem.
